Celebrating 20 years of our webstore
A BRIEF HISTORY
1991
Running out of Paul's garage in Beeston, Scooter Restorations Ltd. is officially established in 1991. Not only were spare parts offered, as is the case now, but restoration services were also available.
1993
Scooter Restorations opens it's very first shop to the public, at Unit 14, Sycamore Works Yard, pictured above.
1993
The first Scooter Restorations catalogue was printed, with Glen Daft's illustration on the cover and the first SR logo.
1996
Staying in Bulwell, Scooter Restorations moves to a bigger and better building on Commercial Road, painted in it's signature SR Blue.
2001
Almost 10 years later, this was the first catalogue to feature a cover different from the original in 1993.
2003
Our first website launched in August 2003, showing a select list of items available, with an online catalogue available separately. No orders were taken on the website directly, it was phone, fax and mail order only. Email orders were accepted for a time, but not for long "due to the influx of emails containing viruses". 2004
Almost exactly a year after the first website was launched, our first online webstore was made public. Featuring in-vogue Flash animations advertising the free shipping over £150 and the online shopping guide. View it here

2004
A new scooter appears on the front of the catalogue, which was featured for years after, with a more simple design and a logo matching the website.
2007
A new look, in preparation for the new building and upcoming website redesign. As the logo was to be printed on the building, the carpets and all advertising, much deliberation and triple checking was needed to make sure it's perfect, Martha recalls checking every pixel as she made it.
2007
The first catalogue to feature the new Scooter Restorations logo.
Late 2007
Our current building is purchased, but much work is yet to be done before it's ready for use.
2008
A complete reimagining of the website was finished some time in 2008 with more colour and a more informative home page. View it here
