Gary Holme’s Scooter Restorations
Below are a collection of scooters that one of our regular customers restored. His restored scooters have won trophies and have been featured in Scooter Nova and Scootering Magazine.
"A part time business heading for full time, me and my best mate Eric started by building for ourselves and showing them, they won load of trophies, then people started to approach us to build them, our biggest commission yet is 4 scooter restorations for a motor hub in Blackpool, we are currently on the 3rd one, the 1st one, the cream Cento, is in September Scootering magazine, the grey 55 LD won best original scooter at Whitby this year, the Series 1 was sold to a dealer in London then sold it on to the US, grey/green Series 2. I built it as a present for my son, and blue Series 2 with the Saigon Scooters twin pipes was a scooter I built for myself; an 8 time best of show in one season, last the 52 Mk1 LD belonged to elsree studios, never been on the road from new. I restored it, won best classic Lambretta at Whitby 2017 now in a private collection in Scotland. I buy lots of parts from Scooter Restorations because they are 99 times out of a 100 right 1st time, the quality is good and the [advice] is brilliant just could do with some discount lol" - Gary Holmes
